Division 11& 111 Umpires Written Examination

Sri Lanka Cricket is in the Process of selecting a Panel of Umpires to officiate in Sri Lanka Cricket Tournament Matches.

A Written Examination will be held in Late February 2010

Those umpires who have passed the recruitment examination conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket could register.

Those who are successful in the written examination will be called for a Viva where the Final selection will be made.

POST:        NATIONAL TEAM COACH

1.    FOCUS OF ROLE

The Zimbabwean National team Coach is responsible for:

1.1. The collective performance of the Zimbabwean team.
1.2. Ensuring individual players are prepared, developed and managed to ensure they perform at the peak of their     capabilities at all times.
1.3. Establishing a culture and style of play which, supported by key systems and processes, will contribute to consistent high performance and development of Zimbabwean cricketers.
1.4. Ensure the conduct of the team is in keeping with the highest standards of integrity.

3.    CRITICAL TASKS

3.1. To coach the Zimbabwean team to ensure the highest level of performance is achieved and maintained and ensure a return to test cricket as per the roadmap provided by the Board.
3.2. Develop and implement coaching plans to meet individual development needs by a player and team.
3.3. Provide direction on game strategy and style of play that enables on field success.
3.4. In conjunction with the Captain and Team Manager, maintain and develop a culture that ensures player behavior is consistent with the relevant codes of conduct.
3.5. In conjunction with the Captain and other members of the team management, communicate expectations of player behavior (non-negotiable) at the commencement of each tour.
3.6. In conjunction with the Captain and other members of team management, deal immediately, openly and effectively with inappropriate behavior.
3.7. Continue to reinforce and develop within the team, greater recognition of the Spirit of Cricket and the responsibility of players to promote the game and show it in a positive light.
3.8. Build positive relationships with players, team management, National Selectors, ZC staff and Franchise coaches/staff.
3.9. In conjunction with the Team Manager, develop a close working relationship with and oversee the physiotherapist and fitness trainer in relation to players’ health and fitness.
3.10. To clearly understand ZC strategic framework and incorporate relevant focus into dealings with players, other staff and stakeholders.
3.11. Participate in media commitments as required.
3.12. Ensure the needs of cricket sponsors and stakeholders are met.
3.13. Responsible for performance management and development of staff and assistant coaches.
3.14. Strictly follow finance policies, procedures and contractual obligations.

4.    The Person:

Candidates must have the following:

4.1. Previously played cricket at least at first class level
4.2. Beholders of a minimum recognized level 3 coaching certificate and must have coached at senior level for at least 5 years.
4.3. Have good analytical skills
4.4. Motivate players and be firm and fair
4.5. Good leadership skills and be able to lead both the National Team and the   technical staff

Coaching Qualifications:

  • Accredited Level-II or above
  • Coaches with over (05) five years of coaching experience at Senior Club Level.
  • Ex-National Cricketers with Level -I Accreditation and coaching experience at Club / Senior School Level.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to write reports in English.
  • Presentation and Tutoring skills will be an added qualification.
  • The right candidate should be computer literate and self-motivated with high level of commitment.

Preference will be given to applicants who have been working with SLC coaching system over (03) three years with required Level-II Accreditation.

2. Post of Provincial Coach

Coaching Qualifications:

  • Level-II or above – Accredited Qualification with over three (03) years of Senior School or Division-I Club coaching experience.
  • National player with Accredited Level-II Qualification and Experience in Senior Club Coaching (local or abroad)
  • Applicants who have been working in SLC Coaching System over three (03) years with required Level-II Coaching qualifications.

Other Requirements:

  • Should be self-starters, possess good communication skills and computer literate.
  • The right candidate should be computer literate and self-motivated with high level of commitment.

Excellent knowledge of the game, ability to prepare presentations and tutoring skills will be added qualifications.

3. Post of District Coach

Coaching Qualifications:-

  • Accredited Level-II or higher qualification.
  • Level-I Qualification with over five (05) years of School/Club Coaching Experience.
  • Applicants who have been working in SLC Coaching System with required Level-II Coaching Qualifications.
  • Over five (05) years of Division-I playing experience with Level-I Qualification.

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Technical, Tactical and Practical knowledge of the game.
  • Should be able to work closely with District Cricket Association Management and Cricket playing Schools within the District.
  • The right candidate should be computer literate and self-motivated with high level of commitment.

Ability to write reports, tutoring knowledge and good communication skills will be an added qualification.
