Under-19: Sri Lanka blanks Australia 3-0


Anuk Fernando’s four-wicket haul and a vital unbeaten 25, helped Sri Lanka U-19 wrap up the Youth One Day series against Australia 3-0 with a thrilling win in R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today (6). Australia who elected to bat first were restricted to 202 runs and Future Lions reached the target losing eight wickets and with four deliveries to spare. Chasing 202 runs to win, Sri Lanka got off to a bad start, they were 41 for 4 before Priyamal Perera(32) and Thilaksha Sumanasiri helped them recover with a 47-run fifth-wicket partnership. Under-19: Sri Lanka registered the second win against Australia

An allround performance by Harsha Rajapakse who cracked a 43 and grabbed three scalps and a 58 by Priyamal Perera helped Sri Lanka Under- 19 to record a massive 111 runs win over Australian Under-19s in their Second Youth One Day cricket match played at Colts grounds today. The victory followed their earlier win by 95-run margin in the opening match and puts them into an unassailable 2-0 lead with one game remaining. Under-19: Sri Lanka beat Australia in first youth one-day clash

The Sri Lankan under-19 cricket team produced a fine all-round performance to outplay Australia and notch a 95-run win in its first Under-19 Youth ODI played at the Colts ground in Colombo today.
