SLC Cricket invest over Rs. 60 million to provide Ground Equipment for 14 Member Clubs

Media Release 16th January, 2018 Sri Lanka Cricket has invested Rs. 60 million to provide ‘Ground Equipment’ for 14 of its member clubs. The project, which is conducted by the National Development Center of Sri Lanka Cricket provided ground equipment for 9 Tier A clubs and 5 Tier B clubs. Among the items, that was distributed are Grass Cutters, Manual Rollers, Hand Rollers, Outfield Rollers, Outfield Gang Movers, Manual Spike Rollers, Hand Tractors, Nylon Boundary Ropes and Turf Cutters. Colombo 5th November 2017, Sri Lanka Cricket today (5) announced that 4 of its Specialist Consultant Coaches – namely Hashan Thilakaratne, Avishka Gunawardena, Hemantha Devepriya and Oshadi Weerasinghe would be travelling to the UAE later this month to complete their ICC Level 3 Coaching certification. The Specialists coaches who have been working the National teams over the past months will participate in the ICC Acadamy Level 3 Coaching Course at the Dubai Sports City on the sponsorship of Sri Lanka Cricket which views it as a strategic investment into Specialist resources. Sprenger is one of the Gold Coast’s most respected Podiatrist who practices in all aspects of conservative care of the foot and ankle, as well as post-operative care following orthopaedic surgery of the foot and ankle. The stadium which had fallen into a state of disrepair is to be renovated ahead of the Zimbabwe tour of Sri Lanka at the end of June this year, and will host 3 of five One Day International matches of the tour.
