Media Release 05th November, 2018 Lahiru Kumara, who was in the 16 member test squad to face England in the three match series, has been found guilty of breaching the code of conduct of the team. Accordingly, the team management decided to replace him. Dushmantha Chameera comes in as the replacement, with immediate effect.
Kusal Janith Perera and Akila Dananajaya has been taken out of the T20 squad and replaced with Sadeera Samarawickrema and Amila Aponso. Kusal Janith is still recovering from his injury suffered during the ODI series, while Akila Dananjaya is also suffering from a leg injury, occurred during the 5th ODI.
