Rangana Herath put Sri Lanka in control of the first Test against West Indies, with the Caribbean side ending the third day’s play on 67 for 2 after following on – still facing a deficit of 166 runs. Herath took 6 for 68 as West Indies’ first innings ended at 251 all out at the Galle International Stadium on Friday (October 16), after Sri Lanka had amassed 484. The left-arm spinner then dismissed Kraigg Brathwaite towards the end of the day’s play, as West Indies lost its second wicket while following on.
