Sr Lanka Cricket National Selectors Committee Chairman, Graeme Labrooy share his views on Selection Policy.
Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to deny the alleged involvement of any official or employee of SLC in the purported incident of harassment of a female journalist in Abu Dhabi during the ongoing Sri Lanka Vs. Pakistan series. The incident which was brought to light by the lady concerned via her personal Twitter handle alleging it to have been perpetrated by an official of SLC has been formally reported to SLC by the Pakistan Cricket Board. SLC confirms it is neither an official nor employee of Sri Lanka Cricket, but is a journalist representing a private media organisation.
Colombo, 21st October 2017 Sri Lanka Cricket today announced the T20 squad selected to play the T20 Series against Pakistan. The Squad which was ratified by the Minister of Sport, Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekera, will be captained by Thisara Perera, and consists of: 1. Thisara Perera – Captain 2. Dilshan Munaweera 3. Danushka Gunathilaka 4. Sadeera Samarawickrama 5. Ashan Priyanjan 6. Mahela Udawatte 7. Dasun Shanaka 8. Minod Bhanuka 9. Sachith Pathirana 10. Vikum Sanjaya 11. Lahiru Gamage 12. Seekkuge Prasanna 13. Vishwa Fernando 14. Isuru Udana 15. Jeffrey Vandersay 16. Chaturanga de Silva The squad will play 2 x T20 games against Pakistan in the UAE, and the final game in Lahore, Pakistan on the 29th of October 2017.

Colombo, 17 th October 2017 The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday (16) decided to revise the suspension imposed on Dhanushka Gunathilaka upon consideration of the appeal made on behalf of Gunathilaka by the Sinhalese Sports Club. Gunathilaka was served a 6 International match suspension and imposed a fine of 20% of his Annual Contract fee having been found in breach of Section 30 of the SLC Constitution and several terms of his contract.
