Special Grant to Controlling & Affiliated Clubs for Infrastructure Development

Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that the Executive Committee met with all the Controlling & Affiliated Clubs and requested them to submit proposals in order to develop the infrastructure and the development of cricket of their respective clubs. They also took into consideration those clubs without grounds and other facilities for which provision was made to cover the cost of practice facilities and away matches. The  clubs forwarded their proposals of their planned projects to the Executive Committee for their perusal. National Development Committee headed by President SLC Mr. Jayantha Dharmadasa compiled a document based on all the proposed projects and the Executive Committee decided to provide the following grant to the Clubs. Kaushal Silva replaces injured Dilshan – SLC Four-day Domestic Tournament

Media Release Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that due to an injury, T.M. Dilshan who was in the original Board XI Team has been replaced by Kaushal Silva who was in the Sri Lanka “A” Team. With this change Kanishka Elvitigala will be moving to the Sri Lanka “A” team from the Sri Lanka Development Squad and Kasun Madushanka has been included in to the Development Squad.

SLC appoints Sarath Abeysundara as the ‘Representative of Sri Lanka Cricket for Europe’

Media Release Sri Lanka Cricket  wishes to announce that the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to appoint Mr. Sarath Abeysundara as the ‘ Representative of Sri Lanka Cricket for Europe’ with a view to raise funds on behalf of the Sponsorship Committee of SLC. As the appointed representative he will be required to lobby support and solicit funds from Europe and Ireland towards the development activities envisaged by SLC for Schools and the District Cricket Associations of Sri Lanka. Mr. Sarath Abeysundara is currently an Elected Committee Member of the Sponsorship Committee of SLC.

IPL Match Fixing Allegations

Media Release Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that reference to a certain media report pertaining to a Sri Lanka Player being accused of Match fixing in the IPL 2013, Sri Lanka Cricket has not received any report from the authorities pertaining to the above. SLC has full confidence in all its players and Sri Lanka Cricket has a zero tolerance on Anti Corruption and Anti Doping.
