It is with profound sorrow that we inform you of the passing away of Mr. Irwin Jayawardena – Executive Committee member of Sri Lanka Cricket and President of the Kurunegala Sports Club. His remains will lie at his residence – No. 38, Thapodharama Road, Hantane, Kandy. Cortege will leave his residence at 1.30 p.m on Saturday 16th November 2013 for cremation at the Mahiyawa General Cemetery at 2.30 p.m.
Media Release Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that the panel appointed by the Executive Committee of SLC has interviewed four prospective candidates comprising 3 Sri Lankans and a foreigner today for the Post of National Head Coach. Accordingly, two candidates namely Marvan Attapattu and Mark Davis have been shortlisted for the final interview to be held in due course. The date for the final interview is yet to be finalized.

Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that the Executive Committee met with all the Controlling & Affiliated Clubs and requested them to submit proposals in order to develop the infrastructure and the development of cricket of their respective clubs. They also took into consideration those clubs without grounds and other facilities for which provision was made to cover the cost of practice facilities and away matches. The clubs forwarded their proposals of their planned projects to the Executive Committee for their perusal.
