An emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) was held yesterday (09/09/2013) at SLC Head Quarters. At this meeting the “Letter of Resignation” sent by SLC Vice President K. Mathivanan was tabled for the committee’s consideration. Upon tabling, the committee unanimously accepted the resignation submitted by Mr. Mathivanan. Further, the members of the Executive Committee expressed their utmost surprise and disappointment relating to certain deplorable comments made to the media by Mr. Mathivanan. Media Release Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that Zimbabwe Cricket Board wrote to SLC yesterday stating that, “ due to some challenging issues we are facing, it has been decided that we should reschedule the Sri Lanka tour to a future mutually agreed date.” The said tour was scheduled to start on the 1st of October until the 5th of November 2013 and was to comprise 2 T20’s, 3 ODI’s and 2 Test matches.
