Please be informed that the match between Ruhuna and Kandurata/Uva scheduled at Moors grounds on 23rd has been shifted to RPICS, after a discussion with the National Curator / HOCO. The ladies match scheduled at RPICS on the same day will be shifted to Moors Grounds.

ExCo clarifies position regarding guarantee fee to support staff

Media Release The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket turned down a request made by the Captain of the National Team, Mahela Jayawardena, to distribute part of the guarantee fee due to the team from the World T20, to members of the Support Staff and certain ground staff, at its last meeting held on 12th December. The players are paid 25% of the guarantee fee as per their contract and it is not distributed among anyone other than the players, hence the reason for the Executive Committee to refuse to deviate from the standard practice. ExCo meets to address key issues outlined by Haroon Lorgat’s Report

Media Release The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket met yesterday (Wednesday) on the instructions of the Minister of Sports, consequent to the meeting that was convened by the Minister on Friday 30th November, to study and make recommendations on the ‘Haroon Lorgat Report’. As a first step, it was decided by the Ex Co, to appoint three committees, viz: Finance, Constitutional and Administrative, to discuss Mr Haroon Lorgat’s report and make recommendations for its implementation. The Committees were given time until 15th January 2013 to submit their reports for possible implementation of the findings by 1st February 2013. Sri Lanka Cricket will keep the Media updated on the processes being adopted, on submission of the reports.

Haroon Lorgat meets SLC stakeholders – Press Release


Media Release Mr Haroon Lorgat, who is consulting to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), arrived last evening on the final leg of his assignment to review and recommend changes to SLC vis-a-vis its administration, finances and cricket structure. Mr Lorgat presented his views to Club stakeholders at R.Premadasa Stadium this morning when he met with them to explain the process and to seek their input and views. The meeting was attended by Hony Secretary Mr Nishantha Ranatunga, Treasurer Mr Nuski Mohamed, several members of the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket and CEO Ajit Jayasekera.
