Distribution of Cricket Balls and Equipment for Forthcoming Under 19 Season

Mr. D.S. De Silva , Chairman, Sri Lanka Cricket, who undertook the reasonability of improving the schools infrastructure under the directive of His Excellency the President, will continue to support the much needed development in the schools arena. Mr. D.S. De Silva, together with the members of the Schools Cricket Association will be in Trincomalee to distribute cricket equipment and cricket balls to 30 schools who are preparing for the forthcoming under 19 schools season Schools from Trincomalee, Vavuniya and Mannar will be the recipients. Sri Lanka Cricket will also distribute certificates to umpires and coaches in the above mentioned districts, who succeeded in the recently held examination and are now qualified to officiate as umpires and coaches.

Sri Lanka Development Squad, Dominate at Canterbury

Dilshan Munaweera led the run chase yet again for Sri Lanka Development squad in their limited over encounter against Canterbury in New Zealand last week. Former test and one day star Chris Harris made 76 to help the hosts score 242 runs in their allotted 50 overs.
