Sri Lanka Cricket EGM – 18th December 2016


At an Emergency General Meeting of the membership of Sri Lanka Cricket held on Sunday (18) at the SLC Headquarters in Colombo 7. At the said EGM which was attended by over 60 member clubs, the membership unanimously ratified the proposed changes to the constitution of SLC which was adopted in 2003. The membership also considered and adopted the Audited Financial Statements for the period ending December 31st 2015. The meeting was attended by representation from 61 of 83 member Associations and Clubs counting for a 73% turnout of the membership. Resolution No.1 which was unanimously adopted by the membership.

The Dialog National Cricket Awards which recognizes the performances and achievement of players of the domestic tournaments of 2015/2016 season will be held at the Taj Samudra Colombo on Monday the 19th December 2016. Performances of the 2015/16 season which include the Premier League, the Premier Limited Over & T20 Tournaments, the Emerging League and T20 Tournaments, the P. ICC Chief Executive to visit on the invitation of the ACC and SLC


Sri Lanka Cricket is pleased to announce that ICC Chief Executive David Richardson will be visiting SLC on 15th December 2016 for a comprehensive briefing on the ‘SLC Way Forward’ which outlines its short, mid and long terms plans. Attempt to Enjoin SLC Major Tournament 2016/2017 refused by District Court of Colombo An attempt by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority Cricket Association which is under the purview of the Ministry of Ports and Shipping to obtain an exparté Enjoining Order against the conducting of the SLC Major Tournaments 2016/2017 by Sri Lanka Cricket was refused by the District Court of Colombo today (9).
