BT: – Your views of this opportunity afforded to you by SLC ?
CK: – Sir I thank our Chairman at SLC for helping me to play in England this summer, the School’s section at SLC have afforded me this opportunity, hence my ambition is not only to play for my new English club with great commitment but also set an example on an off the field so that more young School boys from Sri Lanka will get opptunity to play in the league.
BT: – You had an excellent School season in 2009/2010, are you happy with what you achieved?
CK: – I am very grateful to my coach Mr.Harsha De Silva and Dylan Ramanayake for guiding me, and helping me with my technique in all three areas of the game, Our rector father Sylvester Ranasinghe for encouraging me, the season was very challenging, my only regret is that I should have made the 50’s to 100’s if I did that my average and aggregate would have been better.
BT: – What are your views of the Schools standard today ?
CK: – Sir I was told that the Schools standard is getting back its lost glory after SLC got involved in raising the standards. Today we have so much talent at College level I am sure SLC will find lot of Cricketers especially in the outstation.
BT: – Who is your favorite Cricketer?
CK: – Angelo Mathews, he is a fine all rounder, I was a great admirer of his skill levels, and I remember watching him from my school days he was my senior at College.
BT: – Finally what’s your ambition?
CK:- Play for my Country, and be modest and humble, and be a good citizen of my motherland.
