Sangakkara has been one of our best captains by far! He has led our team to many heights and Sri Lanka cricket is at its peak now! Yes i know we didn’t win the title but 1st runners up is simply amazing for a small island like ours, and competing at an international level we have come quite a distance. Sangakkara has done a marvelous job of bringing this team to where they are now. Right now looking at our squad there is no one like him who can do the job he has, yes we have well experienced players in the side but no one with such humble grace as him, who has brilliant leadership qualities, and a true sportsmanship!

Sanga..you deserve to hold on to the title as captain for a while longer, do not let go now!
Sri Lanka needs you now to hold this team together more than ever before!
Not winning the cup is one thing, someone has to win and one has to lose but you Sanga giving up this title will honestly be more disappointing!
