Selectors have approved national player contracts for twenty players and have awarded them ranging to six different categories. The rest of the player contracts will be awarded, after the conclusion of Sri Lanka’s “A” tour to Australia.

Lasith Malinga should probably be included to Category 2 along with Nuwan Kulasekara. He has performed well consistently for the last 18 months. Thus he deserves to be ranked at top.

what about munaweera he is the best batsman in inter provincial 4 day tournament scored over 400 runs vth 2×100 & 1×50 SR99.29 & AV 60.14 his 1st tour to Australia vth A side and played only 2 matches.he is going for quick runs as he could do. I wish him all the best 4 his future cricket

Also you have forgoten “Tissara Perera”,, Are u sure.. that you have selected correctly? 20 is not enough. No this is a miracle. Players always perform well, but there is no any chance for sootable players.. Please recorrect this.! Other wise we all would be POOR..!!

What about “Jeewan Mendis & Chamara Silva”..!! Did you forget them.. Remember this.., You must give few chances for good players,, You have forgoten ‘Kaushal Lokuarachchi, Mahela Udawatte and many others also,, You are not happy while they perform well, after the loes, you refuse them..! What a selfish activity,, Sri Lanka Cricket never rais,, no one can build it, because everyone works according to politician’s ideas..!!

this new contract is not good.previuosly we had over 50 contracted players(sl A,development squad) now it is reduce to 20.giving money to those who have money and reducing payments for poor guys.this is unfair!

We need some good pace bowlers. The new comers are good and they have got the energy to play. DILHARA IN NOT UP TO STANDARD AGAISNT BETTER TEAM LIKE AUSTRALIA OR INDIA. In Australia he fails all the time and selectors keep sending him Australia despite his failures. Thisara perera is fearless and has got all the energy to become an all-rounder. Where is he?

I just wanted to pass a comment on the Sri Lankan A cricket side. I am an Australian Cricket fan and I had a chance to watch your players yesterday and seeing them for the first time; I was impressed with the skills that they offered during the day. Their ground feilding was good as well as thier bowling. I look forward to their Austrlian Tour and hope that they do well.
