Media Release 06th February, 2019 Sri Lanka Cricket conducted two programs in ICC Level 01 Coaching Course in the recent weeks for nearly 50 schools and club level coaches; who came from several parts of the country. Conducted by the Coach Education Unit of the SLC, the first of it was held from the 22nd to 25th January at the SLC High Performance Center at RPICS, while the second program was held from the 30th January to 02nd February, in the District of Ampara. SLC wishes to announce that the team selection; while the team is on tour shall be made by a Committee comprising of Team Manager and Captain in Consultation with the National Selection Committee. The majority decision of the Manager; Captain and members of the Selection Committee shall prevail on any selection made thereof. This decision was taken under the instructions of the Ministry of Sports in consideration of the need to form an effective and transparent selection mechanism; whilst the team is on tour. The directive will come into force with immediate effect.
