  • Jeremy Brohier

There are so many talented cricketers in the schools circuit that are not taken into consideration when selections are made for the under 19 National side. The performance of the last u 19 Sri Lankan team at the world cup is testimony that the best team was not selected. It is important that a transparent and fair mechanism is created to identify and spot these talented cricketers by giving them a reasonable opportunity to prove their talent.

I am saying this in the best interest of creating a proper feeder towards the future of Sri Lankan cricket and moreover in the National interest.

Plans to suport &develop school cricket is very good news. But how schools get this messeage ?

Developing school cricket is key. We need good coaches at school level too because lots of children give up at that level.
