Good point Raj, but the way the guys are under pressure from the management they are unable to perform to the full. Some pressure is good but the way the SL team is managed and influenced by politics it is a bit difficult. Both Maharoof and Vaas have been really performing very well with their county teams in England. Looked after well rested as necessary and given the full backup as needed. Put them in the country setting and it is like having your mother in law and inlaws around, if I could use that to illustrate the example. I am sure they will not be able to play to the max. I for one support Malinga as he has chosen to be faithful to those who truly care for him and love him for his talent over politics and money. I say this from knowing a group of Indian Fans who love him for what he is and his standing, money may be a factor but it is I am convinced is not the defining one.

SL needs a good all-rounder in the team! At the moment SL is finding it difficult to get a genuine ‘dangerous’ all-rounder, who could opening the bowling occasionally and bat well with quick and hard hitting runs on the board. If Maharoof could prove himself this time, it’s a great gift to our SL team, I wish him well. Also I take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to the new captain Dilshan and the team and hope they return home with historical victory in England.

SORRY TO SAY MAHAROFF IS NOT SUITABLE FOR TEST MATCHES..MAYBE FOR ODI’S .. BUT NOW HE’S OLD.. THISSARA PERERA AND ANGELOW MATTHEWS HAS CONSOLIDATED THEIR POSITIONS AS ALL ROUNDERS SO WHY ADD HIM TO THE SQAUD.. THESE ARE SELECTION BLUNDERS OR SATISFYING REQUESTS OF CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS.. AND LATTER BEING THE MORE LIKELY ANSWER..SL CRICKET LOVING PUBLIC ARE NOT IDIOTS…
