Yap i also think vass doing well but there no vacant position to play Vass. butmaharoof has done well but he not doing well than vass if we get last 5 appear in county matches so selectors has to put there site back & think about future cricket in srilanka

Why don’t you play other ground in Sri Lanka ? Though there are eight ground in Sri Lanka , the tri nation ODI play in only Dambulla. We would not allow for that.

Rukshan is right
but i prefer Sanga to bat @ 4 & Mahela to bat @ 5
Mahela is a better batsman against spin than Sanga
but this will never happen
both sanga & Mahela want to bat up the order
but they should think more about team than their individual preferences……….
i would also like to see Thrimanne opening with Dilshan in TESTS…
Chandimal should wicket keep & bat at no 6 in TESTS

If our management is brave enough to drop Murali cz is out of form. We have a good batting line up til no.10 and 4 strike bowlers + 3 part time bowlers.

Just giving a chance is not enough. All we did for the past two years is introduce someone to the national team and ask him to play @ numberi 6 or 7. They never get a chance to build an innings. After few matches he’s off nd replaced by an old horse. Look at India. Karthik opens the batting. Murali @ No. 3. Rohith @ no.4. then comes the seniors Dhoni and Raina.
Let youngsters come in and take some responsibility.Let them build an innings. Sanga Mahela can help them do that. Don’t be so selfish. Don’t just think about yourself and next IPL contract.
What’s the point of playing Samaraweera at no6 or 7? He’s not a big hitter. he’s not a bowler. he’s not a good fielder. He’s a good test player.
Look at all the previous matches. Dilshan and Tharanga gives us good start. first 10 overs we always have a run rate more than 6. Then comes Sanga slows everything down. Then it’s too much pressure on Mahela and rest. If sanga can’t bat freely and score runs please ask Kapugedara or Chandimal to come @ no3.

i really agree with rukshan team it’s the best elevens kulatunga most suit for open plase and dinesh no 3 ..ya it’s true and sanga no 5 wat a team middle order problems are over two good openers kulatunga|dilshan this 11 can be win wc 2011 but aravinda’s 11 with samare, kandamby. tharanga we never win……

Selectors should give a chance to janaka Gunaratna to show his colour at least in the 3 day warm up match as he is generif form during the past few months looking at his performaces in Inter provice tournament. If selectors feels that Man of the touramenent of the Inter province Tournament is not taleted enough to play even in an 3 day pratice match, then they should not continue this inter province tournment as it has no value to the selectors.

aravinda u must give a chance to jeevantha kulatunga up comming ind, new tour of srilanka. please remove samaraweera and add kulatunga or chandimal. but chandimal not suit for no 5 or6 position he is suit for no 3. jeevanta kulatunga will be the better option

Thirimanne should bat this time.he is more talented batsman for test matches.i agree with yy.Sadly our senior cricketers are very jealous & selfish.they dont like to give a chances for new-comers.and also chandimal have to show his colours again.hope selectors give young players a chance..?

look at india……….their batting line up is lot stronger but still Kholi & Sharma bats there

Randiv too is better than Murali for ODIs & T20s
he is a better batsman & a better fielder…………..
chandimal is more talented than even Kholi & Sharma
but unfortunately he was born in a such a backward country..
otherwise he could have ROCK the cricket world
ALso I hope ICC will cancel WC matches in Sri Lanka………

If it is a day & night match-bat first,you won the match
in day game-bowl first , means you won the match
India played 13 matches in SL last 2 years & won 8
in all those matches Dhoni won the toss
