Sri Lankan team Management in West Indies confirms that Spinner Ajantha Mendis is set to replace Left arm Paceman Thilan Thushara for the ICC World T20 2010 Semi Final match against England to be played in St. Lucia today.

Mendis’s inclusion is based on the Spin friendly slow wicket on offer. Team sources expect his variations to trouble the powerful English batting lineup in helpful conditions.

Look at the way Mendis missed that easy run-out today. He really needs to get some fielding lessons before he can get back in the team again.

Mendis needs to get his line and length right. And, most importantly hope he puts up a better fielding effort tonight. Why don’t these selectors think of dropping Jayasuriya in any way? He’s continuous non-performance is really hurting us.
