Dilshan Munaweera made 63 runs off 28 deliveries to help Sri Lanka record their first win in the SAG/T20 games. Sri Lanka beat Nepal by 64 runs at the Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi yesterday. Sri Lanka who opted to bat first made 166 for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Skipper Ashan Priyanjana made 43 off 33 balls while, Angelo Perera remained unbeaten on 22.
Rupesh Shrivasta of Nepal took 4 wickets for 29 runs in his allotted four overs. Nepal in reply made 102 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. The openers Kumar Mandal and Subash Khakurel scored 45 runs in 81 deliveries for the 1st wicket. Both openers were ultimately run out, while the rest of the Nepalese batsmen were restricted, by the Sri Lankan spinners.
Sri Lanka will play Bangladesh today at the same venue at 11.30 am (IST).
