Murali to remain in West Indies

Sri Lanka’s champion spinner Muttiah Muralidaran is to remain in West Indies after making significant progress. The team support staff are keeping a close eye on Murali’s rate of improvement.

According to the National team physio  Tommy Simsek, Murali has begun his running program paving the way for some light bowling shortly.

Sri Lanka will take on West Indies in Bridgetown, Barbados on the 7th of May in the 1st match of the 2nd round of the  ICC World T20 2010.

Half fit Murali will have a negative effect on the team.Specially as fielding is vital in T20. It will be good to give Jeevantha a chance.Hope Dilshan will strike form.Too good not to.Jayasuriya has to proove himself. He is not a self appointed, kingpin.
