Pakistan Under 19 win fourth Youth ODI to take series


Pakistan Under-19 beat Sri Lanka Under-19 by 7 wickets in the fourth Youth ODI to clinch the 5-match series 3-1 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium at Sooriyawewa, Hambantota on Sunday. Having restricted their Sri Lankan counterparts to 195 for 8 wickets, Pakistan made light of the target reaching 196 for 3 in 34.5 overs at a run rate of 5.62.

Top scorer for Sri Lanka was Avishka Tharindu with 50 off 79 balls with a solitary boundary having coming at the fall of the fifth wicket.

Shiraz Khan picked 2 wickets for 34 and Mohammad Wasim 2 for 42 for Pakistan under-19.

Pakistan rallied despite losing opener Basit Ali for a duck with the total on 11 on the back of a fine 95-ball 93 by Haider Ali inclusive of 7 boundaries and a six. Qasim Akram was unbeaten on 29.
