The rain hit third and final Test match between Sri Lanka and the West Indies ended in a draw on Sunday at the Pallakele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. The three-match series ended in a 0-0 draw.
No play was possible on the fifth and final day as rains washed out action. Not even one innings was completed as West Indies were placed at 303 for eight from 103.3 overs.
The previous two Test matches in Galle and Colombo too ended in a draw following rain interruptions.
The drawn series affected Sri Lanka most as it fell from the third spot to the fifth on the Reliance Mobile ICC Test Championship losing six ratings points.
West Indies gained six ratings points from the series and moved up a spot on the rankings to seventh displacing New Zealand.



The windies carried the rain to the carabbien because there been 2 sunny days up to now in kandy.
