Pallekele to host West Indies Test

All World Cup venues in Sri Lanka – namely, Pallekele, Premadasa Stadium and Sooriyawewa will be featured in the upcoming tour of West Indies commencing on the 7th of November.

Pallekele will be Sri Lanka’s latest Test venue when it will be hosting the 3rd Test match scheduled for the 1st of December. Sri Lanka will be taking on West Indies for 3 Tests, 5 ODI’s and a solitary T20 International. All ODI’s and the T20 will be played under lights.

    at Pallekelle will it stage day night?
    why RPS Stadium staging test match too, why not SSC or P Sara?
    Galle stadium not staging ODIs but only tests? it was before sceduled to be?

      all ground related work have been completed inclusive of the pitches. Pallekele will hostD/N matches during the World Cup. SLC need to provide enough exposure to the National Cricketers in these venues prior to the World Cup.

      tight tour scheduling will not permit teams to travel after every game.
