Prasanna to be replaced by Vithanage due to injury

Sri Lankan wicket keeper batsman Prasanna Jayawardena will be returning home at the completion of the ongoing 1st Test match played against England. He will be returning due to a finger injury suffered in the current Test Match.

Prasanna’s place in the touring squad will be replaced by Left hand Batsman Kithruwan Vithanage. The replacement was decided by the National Selectors which received Ministerial approval. Vithanage will be joining the rest of the squad tomorrow.

    Drop Thirimanna who scored two runs and faced 28 balls, unable to face Anderson. also Drop Kulasekera who took two wickets as a new ball test bowler unable to maintain pace more than 75 miles per hour pace, which could not get English Wickets. He is only for one day and T20. Lakmal or Dhammika Prasad is the replacement.
    While Dimuth has faced 62 balls and scored 54 runs need to improve if he want to stay in team.
