Samaraweera to lead Board Presidents XI

Middle order Batsman Thilan Samaraweera will lead the the SLC Board President’s XI team for the 3 day game against the touring West Indian team scheduled for 10th November at SSC grounds. A 15 man squad has been announced by the selectors which also include Test specialists Prasanna Jayawardena and Tharanga Paranavithana. Young Fast Bowler Nuwan Pradeep has also been included in the squad after recovering from an abdominal and a hamstring injury.

    Nuwan Pradeep should be in team.Everybody knows about Chanaka Wellagedera and Thilan Thushara but we never seen Nuwan Pradeep playing.Could he bowl at 150kmph?

    we remember when Aravinda de Silva came to seen said that he will select the players merely on the performances that they made.. I’m asking Mr. Aravinda, are you too like the others? who says something for the sake of saying something? there are players who are in this squad who have not even played on SL A teams..what is this JOKE..
    It is very bad to select players on personal backgrounds and personal relationships..
    we are asking why JANAKA GUNARATHNA is not in the squad?? because he is coming from a small club in CHILAW?? we know for sure that if he came from a colombo club he would have been made the TEST side by know.. it is a shame Mr. Aravinda.. im afraid this time you have done a very bad thing to JANAKA GUNARATHNA, especially he has performed exceptionally well in the past A team matches with the ball and the bat… very very bad decision ARAVINDA…I hope this will lit up your eyes and prompt a change..

    Where is Janaka Gunarathna??? suprise suprise..after doing well at the past Sri Lanka A team especially with the South Africa A Team and Pakisthan A team. he is not to be seen… suprise suprise… not to forget he scored a briliant 122 against South Africa A team..Suprise Suprise..
