The National Coaching Staff of SLC was engaged in a 3 day intensive training program at the SLC headquarters (Oct. 5 to 7) with regard to the usage of a New Zealand produced software ‘Silicon Coach’. This software helps the Coach to analyze the player better once the video footage is installed to the computer. This information is of help to all Coaches whether it may be in batting, bowling or fielding. A distinctive & unique feature of this software was that it could pick up valuable information which cannot be seen to the naked eye during practice sessions. A valuable coaching tool in the form of analysis which could help the Coach & player if used correctly. The training was conducted by an Indian representing ‘Sports Mechanics’’ a company based in Chennai who are the agents for this software in the Asian region.
