SLC / CSN – Jointly launches series of ‘Cricket Educational Coaching’ Programs on TV

Media Release

SLC National Coaching Department in association with CSN Television Network recently launched its first ever television series with regard to Cricket Educational Coaching programs.  This would benefit cricketers of all  Schools/Clubs and Academies in Districts & Provinces to understand the game better & also the Coaching Fraternity throughout the Country.

SLC has used their National Specialized Coaches: Marvan Atapattu, Champaka Ramanayake, Ruwan Kalpage & Piyal Wijetunga in producing this material, the technical areas which have been covered are Batting/Fast Bowling/Spin Bowling/Fielding & Wicket Keeping. This would help learn the game better from ex-National Players who have taken up to Coaching.

This was a long awaited need which has today become a reality, expressed the National Coaching department. While many of this kind have been produced overseas over the years it was important that we produced this type of educational material in our own mother tongue for the better understanding of our male & female Cricketers / Coaches in the Country & also this being our very own production.

The Coaching Department thanks all those who were involved in producing this material & especially ‘SLC – Coach Education Unit’ & ‘CSN Television Network’ for embracing an exercise of this nature which would benefit the Cricket loving public & all involved directly in the development of Cricketers throughout the Country.
