Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce the decisions taken at the Executive Committeee Meeting held last evening at SLC head office.
The Executive Committee decided to enhance the salaries of the Sri Lankan National Coaching Department staff who have performed & worked tirelessly throughout the year at the national training center developing the current and future national players of Sri Lanka Cricket. These Sri Lankan coaches have been recognized for their commitment & effort shown in bringing the National Team to be the world’s best in the T 20 format and joint 3rd in the ODI format and taking the National Team for several World Cup Finals. These salary increments will be made with effect of 1st October 2013. The Exco also decided to review the salaries of the support staff in the coming months.
Salaries of all other category Employees of SLC will be reviewed after finalizing the corporate plan of SLC by December 2013.
Mr. A.R.M. Aroos:
On the recommendation made by the Disciplinary committee on the report submitted by the Inquiry Committee, the Executive Committee of SLC took the following decision.
To suspend Mr. A. R.M Aroos, from all form of Cricket Management or Representation in Sri Lanka Cricket for a period of Five Years, with immediate effect;
Selection of National Head Coach
A report compiled by the committee appointed to nominate the National Head Coach was tabled at the Exco meeting. As recommended by the committee, the Exco requested the to conduct the interviews for the short listed candidates which comprises 2 foreign and 3 local applicants in order to finalize the above appointment.
Mr. Chandima Mapatuna Appointed as Manager – Tournaments & Umpiring
In order to carry out the work more effectively in the Cricket Operations, it was decided by the Executive Committee to appoint Mr. Chandima Mapatuna as the Manager – Tournaments & Umpiring of SLC with effect from 1st October 2013.
Players from North & East:
The Exco decided to contract 5 Under 23 players from North & East into the National Contract List of SLC. This request will be forwarded to the national selectors of SLC.
Sri Lanka School Cricket
Singer Sri Lanka has come forward to sponsor the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket for the next 3 years. More details will be given in due course.
SLC to introduce a Procurement Manual from the 1st of January 2014 for all its procurement in future.
