drop jeewan for this match i kno he’s a good player bt v dnt need 3 genuine alrounders,v r lack f a specialist batsmen that’s y i add chamara o lahiru. v gt 7 guys who cn bowl, f theres jeewan v gt 8 its a 50 overs match so no need 8 bowlers.

My playing XI for the final is : Dilshan, Tharanga, Chandimal, Angelo (not Perera he too is easily fitting to this side), Thirimanne, Thilan, Jeewan, Suraj, Thusara, Dilhara & Ajantha. Though Kulasekera has performed well in the recent past his bowling won’t be effective if we had to field 2nd. It would have been rather nice if we had a quality left arm leggie. I’ve never thought Kapugedara has skills to bat at this level. He may have scored a big score like Jaysuriya here & there but as a top order batsmen he has to prove his class being consistent like the world class players like Sachin, Karlis,Amla,De Viliers. Forget about his ODI career, He has failed to maintain consistency even at Domestic level. I feel sorry to criticize him here but these are facts, if I don’t do that I believe that I’m doing a great injustice to the other prospective youngsters. We badly need a tall quality left arm Leg spinner & a right arm Googly bowler in our National Squad.

*PLEASE IGNORE MY EARLIER COMMENT*
Dilshan is too hasty & very impatient. The other batsmen who have followed him too have tried to implement the same risky stroke play disregarding neither the condition of the pitch nor the position they were in. His care free approach to batting doesn?t go well all the time. Since only Samaraweera was there with some experience to bat at such a situation, the skipper should have taken more responsibility in the absence of some senior players. On the other hand we should have tried to win every match in hand rather than giving unnecessary confidence to the opposition. Even when we visited them last year, our senior players too couldn?t cope up with their spinners. It was our bowlers who won the series for us. Knowing all that we should have taken our best spinners in the country in Sachithra Senanayake, S Prasanna , & Udara Karunarathna who are more consistent since 2007, than the spinners who are on tour. Both Udara & Sachithra being 6 footers they could extract more bounce on any dull pitch than other spinner in the squad.

Zim has won because schoolboy level cricket played by SL especially all the way from the 20th of over of the SL inings. What are these new comers in SL side doing? They are just schoolboy cricket level. Everyone is crying when these guys are not in the side but when they are there they are nothing for the opponents.
Also SL should learn from Brendon: how to keep your cool and composure, especially after scoring a century.
Then final will be the same result as here if Dilhara, Tilan and Thirimane will be there.
