Not only Chandimal, Angelo Perera, Bhanuka, DimuthKarunarathna, RosenSilva, Kithruwan Vithanage Romesh Buddhika,GeethKumara, Chathurangade Silva,Wimanga Perera, …. are far better bats than most of the batsmen representing the Country at the moment. One can find 101 better batsmen like above that can replace any of the favorites of selectors who are automatically get selected regardless their performances because their is no one to cry on behalf of them.

Dilhara is a wasted talent like many a number of other talented cricketers who have come out of schools during the last 2-3 decades, he should consider himself very lucky that he could at least play few matches for the Country. There have been brilliant schoolboy cricketers( Sajith Fernando, VarunaWaragoda, Duleepa Samaraweera, Sanjeewa Warusamana, Chinthaka Jayasinghe, Lanka de Silva, Indika de Saram, Ian Daniel,Nuwan Zoysa,PNRanjith, Sajeewa Weerakone, —) who have excelled well both at School & Domestic levels yet still they have been continuously ignored by the selectors and the established senior players to create opportunities for their friends & relatives. Though above mentioned extremely talented players couldn’t or hardly play for the country. Sangara’s mentor’s (Arjuna’s ) 3 brothers many other henchmen of his (some) played too long for the Country than they have actually deserved. Due to these blunders, the promising young players are unable to find their due place in the National side. It is also so sad to note, incapabilities of selectors to drop underperforming seniors, or else without being a burden to the Team it is high time for the three seniors to get dropped themselves. It is also very ridiculing thing to see the World’s No1 T/20 & the bowler who took maximum number of wickets in minimum number of International innings has been kept out in the dark while very ordinary of the ordinary bowlers are allowed to represent the Team at regular basis. By the way it is very sad to here that there has been no funds to pay our National Heros, their due payments who are responsible for bring in enormous wealth & prestige into this Country of corrupt people, at time even the junior cricketers of other Test playing are being paid in lakhs.

My suggestions for Test side>>
Dilshan should resign as the cricket captain and should get back to the team as an opening batsman. Thilan Should be member of the Test side. Marvan Atapattu the batting coach should resign. The selction committee should be sacked.
SLC should hold democratic elections and appoint members to SLC accordingly. Highly talented cricketers such as Dinesh Chandimal should be a permanent team member.
I believe Dinesh Chandimal likes to bat number 3 so he should be given the opportunity to bat at number three and move Sangakkara (number 4 bat) and the batting order down. Upul Tharanga who bats like a Test batsman in ODIs can be tried as Dilshan’s opening partner in Tests.
The pathetic Thirimanna & Paranawithana who are club standard players that score runs slowly with very slow Run-Rate with no rhythm should be dropped from the Test team. Ajantha Mendis, where is he? Mendis should be the number spinner of the side not Rangana Herath.
Lastly, Mahela or Sangakkara should be asked to captain the side once more. If either of those two don’t wants to captain the national team then appoint Anjelo Mathews. My question is if South Africa appointed Graeme Smith when he was 22 years with NO Test match experience why can’t Sri Lanka appoint Mathews to the captaincy. After all, the way Dilshan has captained the side it can’t go any worse right?
