Jayasuriya retires from International Cricket

Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya addresses a press conference in Colombo on June 9, 2011. Sri Lanka has recalled veteran left-handed batsman Sanath Jayasuriya for the forthcoming limited overs series against England, Ireland and Scotland. Jayasuriya, who turns 42 at the end of this month, is the oldest player in international cricket. Now a ruling party legislator, he last played a one-day game against India in December 2009.

    He is one of the excellent player Srilanka has produced among the other grate players like Roy,Asantha,Aravinda , Arjuna,Mahela,Muralidaran,Vass,Mavan,Mahanama , but he should have gone longwhile before to offer opportunity to our young players.Sad thing is that we still cant separate politics from the game of grate cricket.
