Sri Lanka’s Rangana Herath bagged three quick wickets before the West Indies reached 297-8 in their first innings at lunch on the penultimate day of the third and final Test. Sulieman Benn was unbeaten on 26 with the help of two sixes and Kemar Roach on nine not out at the break when rain stopped play in the morning session.  The series is tied 0-0 following rain-hit Tests in Colombo and Galle.

The third and final Test between Sri Lanka and the West Indies ended in a draw after rain washed out play on the fifth day at the Pallekele International Stadium. The West Indies were 303-8 in their first innings at stumps on December 4, with Sulieman Benn unbeaten on 29 and Kemar Roach on 12 not out. The series ended 0-0 after rain played the spoilsport in all the three Tests in Galle, Colombo and Pallekele. The West Indies and Sri Lanka will now play five one-day internationals, with the first match starting in Hambantota on December 8.
