Samaraweera should retire. Kapugedara should do another business, not cricket. So should do Chamara Silva.
Please allow likes of Dinesh Chandimal, Jevan Mendis, etc to come into the side.
In the final, it was a great mistake to play Randiv. Instead Ajantha should have palyed. If not, Dilhara should have played as Indians are not really good at fast bowling with occasional slow bowling.
This selection of the team has really put down the expectations of the Sri Lankan cricket fans.

2011, Ind Beat SL in the finals to balance the equation.

Sri lanka is a good team in Premadasa vs NZ and ENG but against Pak and Ind it showed thier true potential. Sangakkara is not even 10% of what Arjuna was.
Arjuna was aggressive and created self belief in SRI team in 1996.
Against IND, sangakkara was defensive completely. the way SRI strated their innings and his fleld placements are awful. he is waiting for things to happen. Except for one of the best ODI innings in WC finals from jayawardena, there was nothing SRI has to chesrish on Final.
on the other side DHONI took attack to the Opposition under immense pressure and won it for INDIA.

The Sri Lankan cricket team should be proud, they battled hard throughout the tournament, and there was no disgrace in the way they lost in the final. I am a proud Sri Lankan, living in the UK, and the SL team is always the focus of my adoration! Thank you for a great tournament. Thanks to Murali for all the memories over the years! A true cricketing legend..he will be missed! Sanga and the rest of the team showed great character throughout…and I’m looking forward to watching them in England this summer!!!

Sri Lanka deserved the World cup 2011… According to me Sri Lanka cricket team is the best.
I dont know about srilankans support to cricket, but if srilanka team had support as that of india then with this hard work they can get “Double-HAT-TRICK of WORLD CUP”.
In india there is number of minds wishes to be a cricketer is greater than the population of Srilanka . If the final was held in Sri Lanka , no doubt about win of Sri lanka…
One thing like to mention,, when Sri lanka bowling M. Jayawrdhene (as experienced cricketer)
he didn’t guide the team to avoid pressure of audience.. but great century(6th in world cup final(but 1st, the team lost with WC final century)),,,
But the enjoy of indian win was great,, millions of minds enjoyed simultaneously..
Just think if india lost , what about that joy, But sorry for srilanka cricket lovers.

Hey ,man what do u think about “TEAM INDIA” ..you mentioned above that if the final was held in lanka you have no doubt about win of Sri lanka……Am honestly telling you , your opinion is not correct .. now a days INDIAN TEAM is able to beat any other opposition @ any location …
